The Greatest Joy .... Giving.
“Give in Charity, men and women,
And loan to Allah
A Beautiful Loan,
It shall be increased manifold
And they shall have
A liberal reward.” (57:18)
Give a little, get a lot
Give a smile, a helping hand, a kind word
Give of your time, your love, yourself
Give your service in the search for good, truth, peace
Give anything that is useful, valuable, worthy
Give to your parents, the needy and those who ask
Give freely, sincerely, generously
Give into all that you believe, surrender, succumb
Give first with your heart then with your hand
Give urgently, mindfully, dutifully
Give to enrich yourself eternally
Give to purify your soul before it’s too late
Give to reap Allah’s reward - material, moral, spiritual
Give for fear of selfishness, greed, extravagance
Give for the sheer joy of it
Give and empower yourself
Give and make a difference!!!
BUT do not “give away
Something, when ye yourselves
Would not receive it
Except with closed eyes” (2:267)
